Here are step-by-step instructions for casting SMART GOLD ALLOY at a low temperature:
Materials needed:
SMART GOLD ALLOY
Crucible
Torch
Ring for casting
Casting machine (optional)
Frond (optional)
Instructions:
Prepare your workspace. Make sure you have all the necessary materials and that your work surface is clean and free of clutter.
Place the SMART GOLD alloyin the crucible.
Using a regular torch, with a very light blue soft flame, begin heating the crucible by moving the torchin circles around it. Do not focus the flame directly on the ALLOY.
Continue heating the ALLOY until it reaches a good temperature, but do not melt it.
Place the ring behind the crucible.
Keep heating the ALLOY with the same procedure using the torch until you notice a very small fall on the ingots. This will not be like GOLD where it really falls and becomes a drop (a little ball) when melted.
In that moment, launch the casting machine with medium strength. Do not use full or soft strength.
If you are casting with a frond, place the ringin the frond and place the ingots inside the formed cone on the ring.
When you notice the slight fall, separate the torch and ruffle the frond.
Everything should be fine, but if you notice difficultyin divesting, it could be due to burning the ALLOY, contaminating the ring with other ALLOY, or mixing different Alloys.
Note: It's important to remember that this is a low-temperature casting ALLOY and requires a different procedure than GOLD or other high-temperature Alloys. Be sure to follow these instructions carefully to ensure a successful casting.
