TECHNICAL TIP
Carbon Brushes are rated at approximately 1,000 hours
We suggest to periodically check the Brushes are wearing evenly and the spring on the Brushes is still good.
Abnormal wear can damage the motor and especially if the Brushes wear down too far and do not make good contact.
Periodic internal cleaning is suggested to remove any dust or debris, clean the motor commutator with ultra-fine sandpaper if needed

Carbon Brushes – Replacement part #
-unscrew the plastic cover
-on the 2 sides you can see the metal plate of the Carbon Brushes and 2 tiny screws to remove
-the Brushes can pop out or with a small flat screwdriver to pop up the metal tabs
-check or replace the Brushes as needed

Brushes will slowly wear to make contact with the commutator on the motor.  The Brushes should wear evenly and slowly become concave.  Check to see they wear evenly on both sides, check to see the spring attached is still good as the Brushes wear.  It is possible if overheated, dust or debris, can affect the wear of the Brushes.
