The Best Dental PANORAMIC X-RAY Machine for Your Money
The PANOURA 18S Dental PANORAMIC X-RAY Machine: for Dental Professionals who want to maximize the information from their PANORAMIC x-rays, and DESPISE retakes.
Here’s how it compares…
Industry-leading image quality results in better patient outcomes because the dental professional can make better decisions with less risk. It leads to reduced procedure time because there are no surprises. Clearer images that the patient can understand also means less time convincing the patient of the diagnosis and more time discussing treatment options.
A dental PANORAMIC X-RAY machine is a critical tool for dental professionals to help them perform a wide array of dentistry exams including general dentistry, third molar evaluation, pediatric and bitewing exams.
The PANOURA 18S dental PANORAMIC X-RAY and dental pan ceph systems have a proven track record as a workhorse that delivers day in and day out for years. The workflow will be seamless regardless of what practice management system you are using, and all members of your staff will be fully confident using the tools so they can focus their attention on patients not devices.
Most importantly, you will have a team in your corner every step of the way to help your staff navigate changing technology, avoid pitfalls, and make the most of your imaging investments.

“These images are awesome”
–Dr. Mark Sheklian, Manasquan, NJ
What’s so great about a Direct Conversion Sensor?
Most PANORAMIC CMOS sensors use lower-cost materials that are less sensitive to X-RAY. Therefore, these sensors must convert X-RAY to light before converting to a DIGITAL signal. This can result in image blurriness because the extra conversion step can cause the radiation to “fan out” and inadvertently trigger surrounding pixels. The PANOURA 18S utilizes a Direct Conversion (sometimes referred to as “Cadmium Telluride”) sensor that converts X-RAY directly to DIGITAL, which contributes to a much sharper image.
Better detail, higher confidence, no retakes
Every scan captures over 50 different PANORAMIC layers!
With most PANORAMIC X-RAY units, the arch of the patient needs to be exactly where the machine wants: along the path where the beam is focused.
• If positioning is not precise, a poor image can result.
• If the patient shifts slightly during the time the operator walks out to initiate the scan, a poor image can result.
• If the patient’s arch doesn’t match the trajectory of the scan, certain anatomy may not be in focus.
• The emergence profile of the anteriors could make it difficult to capture both mandibular and maxillary apices clearly in the PANORAMIC scan.
The PANOURA 18S also has Multi-Focal Plane capture capability. This means that every scan captures many layers both forward and backward. This creates a wide “envelope” where much more data is captured around where the patient is positioned.

Great images even if your staff’s technique is less than perfect!
Not only Bitewings, but an entire FMX!
• Vertical bitewing feature as well as FMX Clipping feature creates 18 intraoral-sized images clipped from the pan with one click.
• Ideal tool for patients who won’t tolerate traditional PAs
• Instead of taking 18 individual images with an intraoral X-RAY, they can all be generated at once in 14 seconds.

FAQ
Will your system work with my software?
Our system works with almost every software on the market. We have our system working seamlessly in offices that use practice management systems like Dentrix, Eaglesoft, Open Dental, and with imaging systems like Dexis, Schick, Carestream and many more.
Furthermore, because our team has deployed systems into all of these offices over the span of decades, they are very knowledgeable about how to optimize the workflow within each of these systems.
What training will be provided?
Our objective is to help you and your staff make the most of your investment, so you will have many resources at your disposal.
When the system is installed, we will provide training that covers hardware, software, integrated workflow with the office software, and anything else the staff needs.
If at any point in the future, whether it be 2 weeks, 2 months, or 2 years later, our team is available for follow-on training. Perhaps you have new staff. Perhaps you are changing practice management systems. Whatever, the reason, just reach out.
We also provide a series of “bite-sized” video modules that serve as a great refresher for various common workflows both with the hardware as well as the software.
What happens if we need support?
Support for your system is a critical component to making sure you are maximizing its value to your practice. Over the years (and many thousand office deployments), IMAGEWORKS has garnered a reputation for helping offices avoid issues that may disrupt the practice. If an issue arises, our team mobilizes to get things resolved.
First, it’s worth noting that our manufacturing partner is a Japanese company named Yoshida that is globally renowned for manufacturing quality. The platform has a track record of being a work-horse that just goes for many years – so issues stemming from poor design and manufacturing just don’t arise in the first place.
On the off chance that there’s a problem or an issue, your staff has a direct line to our technical support team that is available at a moment’s notice. Your staff will get a link that will instantaneously connect one of our specialists directly into your system so that they can see what’s going on, and get it resolved. Behind this team is our headquarters engineering staff for those unique situations.
If there is a situation that requires someone in the office, we have over 500 partners across the US to help get issues resolved quickly and efficiently.
How do I know it will fit in my space?
A key step in our process is our Site Readiness Review, in which our team will review your space, confirm that everything will function in your office, as well as review details of the installation process.
