

The PANDA P4 is the wireless evolution of the PANDA scanner line. The handpiece operates over a dedicated 2.4/5 GHz wireless link — no cable, no tug, no tangle around the patient or the operator. The same AI software that powers the SMART model drives the P4: real-time clean-up of cheek and tongue noise, margin detection, dynamic occlusion analysis, and open-format export to STL, PLY, and OBJ. Patient comfort goes up; chair time goes down.
The P4 communicates with the host computer over a dedicated wireless link — no USB cable, no infection-control wipe-down on a tethered cord between patients. The handpiece weighs in the same comfortable range as the wired SMART, and the wireless dongle plugs into any modern USB-A or USB-C laptop or tower.
The companion software automatically deletes lip, cheek, tongue, and glove data from the live scan stream so the operator sees a clean arch develop in real time. Margin detection, undercut analysis, dynamic occlusion, and orthodontic simulation are built into the same workflow — a single application handles capture and pre-design analysis.
STL, PLY, and OBJ files export directly from the P4 software. Every major CAD design package, every laboratory, every chairside mill, every clear-aligner platform, and every desktop or industrial 3D printer accepts these formats. The choice of downstream workflow stays with the practice.
The handpiece runs on an internal rechargeable battery rated for a full working day of intermittent scanning. The supplied charging cradle restores a full charge during lunch or between morning and afternoon sessions. A spare battery is available for high-volume practices that scan continuously.
PANDA P4 supports the full range of restorative and orthodontic indications: single crowns and inlays, multi-unit bridges, implant impressions, full-arch fixed and removable prostheses, clear-aligner orthodontics, retainers, occlusal splints, and digital study-model archiving.
