Description

PERIOTOMES PT1/3

PERIOTOMES PT1/3 are Straight, Narrow and Straight, Wide Universal Anterior Instruments. The blades are designed for carefully detaching the periodontal ligament to facilitate the removal of teeth with minimal damage to the surrounding alveolar bone.

Thin, clinically designed blades sever attachment easily.

Highest grade US steel for the sharpest and longest lasting cutting edges. Available in Single-Ended, Double-Ended or with interchangeable cone-socket tips. Double Ended PERIOTOMES are available in various angles.

Each item number represents one end of either the double-ended or single-ended instrument:

PT1: Periotome: Straight, Narrow - Universal Anterior.
PT2: Angled, Narrow Vertical Blade - Anterior Interproximal.
PT3: Straight, Wide - Universal Anterior.

PT4: Angled, Wide Vertical Blade - Anterior Interproximal.
PT5: Offset Angled Right, Narrow - Posterior.
PT6: Offset Angled Left, Narrow - Posterior.
PT7: Offset Angled Right, Wide - Posterior.
PT8: Offset Angled Left, Wide - Posterior.
PT9: Angled, Narrow Horizontal Blade - Posterior Interproximal.
PT10: Angled, Wide Horizontal Blade - Posterior Interproximal.
PT11: Angled, Short Narrow Vertical Blade - Anterior Interproximal.
PT12: Straight, Bayonet Shaped Blade - Commonly used with the tapping handle.

PERIOTOMES are designed for separating the periodontal ligament  from the tooth in preparation for a  dental implant.

After the periodontal ligament is cut and the tooth removed, the underlying bone structure remains intact, providing the necessary foundation for an implant supported replacement tooth
