Description
The ATTRITOR numbered CARBIDE bur series is a range of tungsten-CARBIDE laboratory BURS identified by ISO-standard shape codes (47-, 84-, 82-, 63-, 52-, 53-, 41-, 31-, 88- prefixes). All SKUs in this series are HP-Shank (3/32" / 2.35 mm) for laboratory bench-handpiece use — for trimming, shaping and adjusting acrylic prosthetics, cast metal frameworks, PMMA temporaries, composite mock-ups and structurally-reinforced LAB substrates.
- ✓HP Shank (3/32" / 2.35 mm) — laboratory bench handpiece use
- ✓Tungsten CARBIDE with Diamond-Cut flute pattern (cross-hatched cutting geometry)
- ✓ISO-standard shape codes: 31, 41, 47, 52, 53, 63, 82, 84, 88 prefix families
- ✓Cut-grade letter suffix: XF=extra fine, F=fine, M=medium, C=coarse
- ✓Indicated for acrylic, composite (LAB), PMMA, alloy and structurally-reinforced LAB substrate
✦Why You'll Love It
✦Diamond-Cut flute pattern resists load-up on tough acrylic and reinforced substrates.
✦ISO-standard shape codes — universal LAB vocabulary for shape and cut grade.
✦Drop-in replacement for OEM-equivalent HP-Shank CARBIDE BURS.
✦HP-Shank fits any standard laboratory bench handpiece.
If You Are Looking For…
→Extra-fine flute on a denture acrylic surface refinement: Use the 47-XF series at the matching shape.
→Medium cut on cast metal framework adjustment: Use the 47-T or 47-F series.
→Round bur for acrylic block-out or undercut removal: Use the 52-D or 88-A series.
Materials & Construction
Cutting media: tungsten CARBIDE with Diamond-Cut flute pattern per SKU.
Operating Speed & Use Guidance
Operate at the laboratory bench handpiece's rated RPM — typically 20,000–35,000 RPM for HP-Shank CARBIDE.
Use intermittent contact pressure — Diamond-Cut flutes cut fast; respect cut depth.
Sterilization & Handling
- ✓Autoclavable per the manufacturer's protocol
- ✓Pre-clean substrate residue from the CARBIDE flutes before sterilization
