Vintage AL is SHOFU's feldspathic porcelain system engineered for alumina substructures and selected high-strength ceramic frameworks. The coefficient of thermal expansion is matched to common dental alumina cores for predictable long-term bond integrity. The full mass system spans Opaque Liner, opaque dentin, body, enamel, opal effect, effect masses, and external stains. Used together with Vintage ZR as the SHOFU all-ceramic veneering porcelain family.

ALUMINA-MATCHED CHEMISTRY

Vintage AL's coefficient of thermal expansion is engineered to match common dental alumina substructure materials. The matched CTE reduces residual firing stress, which is the root cause of long-term porcelain chipping in alumina-based all-ceramic restorations.

OPAQUE LINER FOUNDATION

The Vintage AL Opaque Liner is applied directly over the alumina coping before the dentin and body layers. It blocks any underlying chroma variation and provides the neutral foundation that gives the layered build-up its predictable shade reading.
